Myths of Kaediem
Creation
In the beginning the titans existed in the blind eternities, later known to mortals as the elder evils, their purpose was unknown. The titans were in an never ending cycle of creation and destruction of matter. Eventually the titans created the material plane and the first gods, now known as the elder gods. The elder gods were also gifted the power of creation and began to shape the material plane with life and magic.
The Dawn War
Soon the time for destruction was upon the gods and the material plane. The gods having grown sentience did not want their creation to be destroyed rebelled against their parents to protect their plane. This resulted in a divine war that resulted in the fracture of the material plane into itself and it's echoes. The titans could not cease to exist so the gods were able to imprison them into far flung planes of existence, hopefully never to return to continue their cycle of destruction.
Life in Kaediem
Through the travels of the goddess Azusa life sprang about as she journeyed the unknown lands. All of these started out as wild plantlife, creatures, and monsters.
Civilized Races of Kaediem
Eventually through the combination of the Elder Gods blessed some of these creatures giving them souls and sentience. The first were humans and dragons, and eventually all sorts of mortals rose from the world. These creatures slowly formed communities and with ingenuity built empires, harassed magic and invented technologies. All souled creatures that live under common law and speak the common language are also known as Mortals and Fair Folk make up many of the settlements, towns and cities.
