One-Time Use. The Eye of The Reaper has a single use. When activated, the bearer can focus on a fiend they can see or know of within 60 feet and use an action to command the stone to reveal the fiend's true name.

Implantation Ritual. Implanting the eye requires a dark ritual performed under the cover of night. The bearer must willingly sacrifice a portion of their life force, taking damage equal to their hit points' maximum. The ritual takes one hour to complete and leaves a noticeable mark or scar where the eye is implanted.

Reaper's Insight. As the ritual concludes, the stone emits a foreboding glow. The bearer's eyes briefly reflect the eerie red light as the true name of the targeted fiend appears in their mind, written in infernal script.

Consequences. The use of Reaper's Insight is not without peril. The revelation of a fiend's true name draws the attention of other fiends, akin to the disturbance caused by the Death Note in the Shinigami realm. The bearer may find themselves marked by infernal entities, becoming a target for retribution.

Void's Embrace. After use, the Eye of The Reaper becomes inert and loses its magical properties. The artificial eye can be removed, leaving behind a cold void in the socket, a permanent reminder of the dark knowledge gained.
