A Zhentarim interrogation gone wrong

Notable Events

• The party accepts both jobs from Davil Starsong and set out to deliver potions from Skeemo Weirdbottle to a masked buyer
• At Weirdbottle Concoctions, the party secretly meets with the gnome Skeemo as he locks up shop and presents them with a linen wrapped box of 5 bottles
• Josephine discovers that the potions are actually poisoned, but assumes it's part of the job
• They make their way to the Godcatcher Tavern where they meet the Black Viper in front to pick up the potions. And they learn about the Black Viper's reputation, where this one is a new thief that is taking up the name.
• Penjamin informs the Black Viper about the poisoned potions as she departs
• On the way home, Tai splits off from the group to gather intel at the local brothels
• The next day, Maria Housekeeper from the Carpenter's guild comes to the Manor and asks to give a house cleaning service, but the party don't quite have enough gold
• The party do some shopping in their alley with some custom orders being put in at their neighbor Steam and Steel.
• Josephine goes to the Bookwyrm shop and meets with the Dragonborn Rishaal to do some arcana investigations on the weapons that she attained from the house when they were in the shadowfell. It is revealed that the battleaxe still has small strays of curse energy while the greatsword has beet purged of it
• Later that night, the team goes to the Lightsinger Theater to commence on their second Zhentarim job (Interrogate Urlon, a dwarf wizard and one of Dio's lieutenants, on the location and operations of Dio's faction of Zhentarim) and to meet Mirt. It just so happens that the Theater is putting on a play of "Dust And Devils"
• Before the play starts, the party splits up to do some surveilance, reunite with Ranaer and is introduced to Mirt.
  • Tai notices Estelle Thumpingneedle there, who he finds out is investigating the Casselanter family on a gossip rumor.
  • Penjamin also recognizes a noblewoman who he instinctively knows is the unmasked new Black Viper.
  • They don't notice where Urlon is until the play starts, and it seems that he is on the third level of the opera house on a date with his mistress
• During the play of Dust and Devils, there is an explosion of fireworks as Kenku assassins pop out on stage. The party deduces that they are there to assassinate Urlon so the party needs to protect him in order to interrogate him afterwards.
• During the chaos, Mirt and Ranaer calms the theater and starts to evacuate the building while the party fights and kills the invading Kenku
• After the Kenku were dealt with, Urlon thanks the team. But it was cut short as they all pull him into the bathroom to question him about Dio. Urlon bursts into flames when he begins to talk and there is a charred corpse in front of the party
• The team exits the theater and is met again by Estelle Thumpingneedle who is interviewing people about what had just taken place.
• The reconvene back at the Yawning Portal and meet up with Davil to give him the details of what had taken place
